With Mark Harrison’s exist from Township Rollers the team management is racing against time to find his replacement. A number of local coaches have been linked to the position, among them Orapa United gaffer Madinda Ndlovu. While speculation is rife about Rollers coaching position some say management is looking at bringing a coach from outside the country. They say management is looking to get a quality coach who will guide the team in the CAF championships that are starting very soon. Rollers secretary general Khumoyame Masonya said management will meet in due course to determine who will take the post. “We urge our supporters to disregard all these rumours as there is currently no frontrunner for the Rollers coaching job,” said Masonya. He revealed that the Mogomotsi Mpote will take over as the caretaker coach assisted by goalkeeper coach Thabo Motang.

Rollers spokesperson Bafana Pheto confirmed that management is still hunting for Harrison’s replacement. Pheto, however, could not be drawn into discussing who they are targeting. “We are currently searching around for a suitable replacement of Harrison.” Those close to Rollers, however, say the team management is racing against time to get a coach before the start of the CAF games. It is reported that management is looking for a coach with CAF licence since the team will be participation in the competition. Rollers leadership has previously said they will not be going into CAF just to participate but to compete for a good position. It is now understandable that they will need a quality coach. Even Pheto confirmed that they looking to get a new coach before the end of this season.
