After an agonising wait Tafic Sporting Club has finally made a comeback to the BTC Premiership. This follows Tafic’s 2-1 win over Sua Flamingos over the weekend. The waiting was very long as it took the last game of the season for the Francistown-based outfit to get automatic promotion into the elite league. Tafic entered the match in need of a win to seal off the place in the premier league next season. The promotion of Tafic means now the City of Francistown will have a representative in the premier league next season. This has brought joy to the people of the second city as now they will be able to see BTC Premiership matches every week. Tafic finished top of the log with 49 points ahead of Motlakase with 47 points. This means Motlakase will have to battle it out in another chance to make promotion at the play-offs. In the National First division south Sharps Shooting Stars also gained automatic promotion to the big league. Sharps got promoted with one game to go to the finish of the league. Before the weekend the Pio Paul-led team needed only a point to gain promotion. The 2-2 draw with sharps handed Sharps the much needed promotion. Sharps are currently top of the log with 44 points with a game to play. Second is Union Flamingo Santos with 38 points followed by Notwane and Black peril with 36 points respectively.
