Zebras to play Tanzania

Botswana Football Association (BFA) will take advantage of the FIFA international match week to have the Zebras play Tanzania in an international practice match. After a weeklong training Zebras coach David Bright had assembled an 18-man team that will take on Tanzania on Saturday at the Uhuru stadium in Dar-es- Salaam. The Zebras left for Tanzania Thursday morning.   The Tanzania match will give the coach the chance to test his charges for different formations and positions. Bright is in a mission to try and rebuild the team that will produce results for the country following continued disappointing displays in recent matches. The coach will be looking to have a number of such matches as he is preparing the team for the coming 2019 AFCON matches next year. Zebras opened the AFCON account on a low getting a 1-nil thrashing at home to Mauritania. Next on the line for Bright and his charges is Angola in March 2018 away before visiting Burkina Faso in September 2018. To improve their chances of qualifying, the team needs to win their two remaining games of the first leg.   They are set to play another friendly on Independence Day.
