Time Adventure Challenge for July

Time Projects will host its annual Time Adventure Challenge on Sunday 8 July at the Mokolodi Nature Reserve. The event is in its fifth year. All entry fees and sponsorship proceeds go to charity. Time Projects MD Sandy Kelly says, “Over the last few years, we have raised over P350 000 from the Time Adventure Challenge which has been ploughed back into community projects. These include a contribution, together with business associates, to the Futsal Park in Bontleng and two outdoor gym parks, one at Kgale View and the other at Segoditshane Way. This year we plan to do something similar. That way, our initiative can be transferred to the youth and adults in the less privileged communities to join the healthy body, healthy mind regime.”

To enter the Time Adventure Challenge, competitors must submit the online entry form at www.timechallenge.co.bw and pay the prescribed fee either at the Time Projects Office or Ultimate Cycle Base. The registration fees are set as follows; individual (P300), social relay team (P900), corporate relay team (P1 500) and juniors (P500). The first 400 entries will each receive the Time Rotary Short Sleeve Quick-Wicking T-shirt and an official racing time.

The 2018 Time Adventure Challenge is a four-leg relay race inside Mokolodi Nature Reserve which starts with a 10km trail run followed by a 15km mountain bike ride, then another 15km mountain bike ride and finishes with a 5km trail run. Each leg needs to be completed by a member before the next member can continue. Although it’s a relay race you can take part as an individual or even teams of two to three people as long as all the legs are completed in order. Environmentally-friendly hydration stations As part of Time Projects’ environmentally responsible business journey which is evident in the ‘green building construction’ of the two new CBD buildings situated on Western Commercial Road, the company will be minimising single-use plastic water bottles at the event. Instead, competitors can make use of the refillable bottles provided in the race packs and fill up at the designated hydration stations.  Spectators will also be able to refill their own bottles.
