Following numerous speculations about the future of Madinda Ndlovu as Orapa United coach, the dust has finally settled as the club has now appointed Daniel Nare as its interim coach. Nare and Orapa United are said to have agreed terms late Friday afternoon. Orapa United spokesperson Kabo William confirmed the developments, saying the former Miscellaneous coach is now United’s Interim Coach. Nare arrives at United after having a good start with Miscellaneous which is currently in position three in the BTC Premiership. Nare’s appointment as Orapa United interim coach seals Ndlovu’s fate at the mining town team. Though William said it is not yet official that they have parted ways with Ndlovu the move paints a clear picture. He, however, admitted that this gives him no chance of coming back. It is understood that this week the club suspended Ndlovu to let him introspect on the way forward. This came after reports that the coach had lost control of the dressing room which divided the players. William, however, could not reveal why the coach was suspended, saying it is internal matter. “I cannot disclose the reason because this is an internal matter. All I can say is there were some issues that we have always tried to address but were unable to be resolve hence the suspension. The bad run of results also has been part of it as you can see the team is now on the seventh position,” explained William. While Nare has been appointed interim coach at Orapa United, William explained that the position he has been recruited for is the assistant coach position. He said as soon as they find a new coach Nare will be assuming his role of assistant coach. Their hunt for new coach will soon start. He, however, could not be drawn into saying who they are setting their eyes on. Reports, however, suggests that former BDF XI gaffer Beston Chambeshi will soon be appointed as Orapa United coach with Nare as his assistant. Nare has been linked to the Orapa United move for a long time dating back to the time he left Extension Gunners. Nare will be charged with bringing back stability to the mining town outfit following a slow start of the season. His first assignment in charge of United will be against high riding Township Rollers on the 18th November 2017.
