In recognition of their sterling performance, the First National Bank of Botswana hosted the Commonwealth Games medallists to a breakfast session of appreciation on Monday.
The breakfast session which was officiated by Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Thapelo Olopeng also revealed the prize money the Bank awarded the medalists with.
Speaking at the event, FNBB CEO, Steven Lefentse Bogatsu said, “We recently launched the Youth In Business Value Proposition that supports athletes to manage their finances by utilising the right transactional accounts, investment accounts, insurance products and lending products. This Youth in Business Value Proposition also recognises sport entrepreneurship.”
Bogatsu further urged athletes to invest in their craft and empower themselves with the necessary tools they need to succeed as they are not only investing in themselves, but also paving way for future generations.
FNBB awarded athletes and coaches a total of P185, 000.00 as follows: Gold P20 000 each; Silver P15 000 each; Bronze P10 000 each; and Coaches P5 000 each.
FNB continues to support talent and recognises the potential of sport entrepreneurship in economic diversification.
