Magang appointed BNSC Vice Chairperson

Celebrated sports administrator Tsoseletso Magang has been appointed as the vice chairperson of the Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) with immediate effect. The appointment means Magang  will act as  the chairperson of  the commission  until the 31st of July  when  BNSC and its affiliates convene for an Annual General Meeting (AGM)where  Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Culture Development Tshekedi Khama will appoint permanent  chairperson. The position fell vacant recently when Solly Reikeletseng resigned from it citing personal reasons though he later conceded that he was pushed. The Minister was still scheduled to unveil the new chairperson during the AGM even if Reikeletseng had not resigned.  Magang is former athlete with a good reputation having played volleyball and athletics at the top level for years. She is also familiar with high profile leadership positions having served as BNSC board member and Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) president in the past. She is currently the Female Additional Member of the National Executive Committee of Botswana Football Association (BFA) where she was overseeing women football.
